Weather Underground

Weather Underground

Summer is trying to get to us in San Diego, but local weather conditions don’t seem to be cooperating quite yet. There are a lot of better ways to get your weather report these days. Almost every phone has a weather feature built right into it and if it doesn’t there are plenty of free apps you can download. Many email platforms have weather forecasts and reports as well. I really never understood reports. I don’t need much to tell me what the weather is like on any given day. I need to be able to forecast the weather so I can make plans.

One of my favorite weather sites is Weather Underground. I know, not the best name as it has some negative connotations dating back to the seventies, but the site has everything I need and the granular data really breaks it all down nicely. The best part is that it’s easy to read. If I want to know what the weather is going to be like in San Diego over the next couple of days, all I have to do is search for San Diego and it lays it all out for me.

If I want to get even more specific, I can search for San Diego communities like Poway, La Jolla, Oceanside or La Mesa. It will give me micro climate conditions for all those areas. For those of you who surf, Weather underground will give you wind conditions as well, but so dues Surfline, Solspot and Magic Seaweed. Weather Underground does not give surf reports or swell information.

We expect a pretty hot summer this year. If you think you may be considering a new air conditioning system, be sure to call us soon, before the summer rush. Everyone likes to call us when it gets very hot outside and that, of course, is our busiest time. Try to anticipate your needs and call us before summer. We’ll be able to sit down with you and take as much time as you want to look through various heat pumps, air conditioning units, furnace systems and perhaps even ductless mini-split systems.
We look forward to hearing from you.
